Location

Where are classes located?

We are located at the following address:

Alberta Ballet School
906, 12th Avenue S.W.
West Annex, 2nd Floor

The main building doors are locked at 5:00 pm, To gain access, please press the buzzer to the left of the
door. Upon exiting the elevators on the 2nd floor, proceed across the courtyard.

Where do I park?

There is ample street parking available in the surrounding areas within the community, as well as in the Calgary Board of Education (CBE) building across the street. Please do not park in the Safeway lot as it is monitored, and you may be ticketed.

Where do I meet my instructor?

Teachers will meet students in the lobby and escort them to their studios.

Please note that only students and staff are permitted in the school past the lobby/reception area. Lobby space is limited during high traffic times. For the safety of the dancers, we ask that families leave ample space for staff to gather the students prior to class and during pick up so that we can ensure all dancers are safely reunited with their families at the end of class.

Communication

How will I receive important updates?

Alberta Ballet utilizes an email program called MailChimp to communicate important information about your dancer’s program. We ask that you do not unsubscribe from these emails as they contain important information, such as parent viewing dates, Year End Performance sign up, and health and safety information. We strive to ensure the information is relevant to your dancer’s program and the frequency of delivery is not excessive, therefore we ask that you take the time to read the information sent to you.

How do I contact Reception for any inquires I may have?

If you have any questions throughout the season, please feel free to contact our reception team in person, by phone or by email.

Uniform Requirements

General Uniform Information

Uniforms are unique to our programs and levels. It is very important that each student is fitted properly for both their shoes and their leotard to ensure they are comfortable and safe during training.

We partner with City Dancewear, a local dancewear provider, to carry all the uniform elements in addition to properly fitting each student at the start of the year. City Dancewear has two locations.

North Location: 106, 5403 Crowchild Trail NW

South Location: 16, 6624 Centre Street SE

At Alberta Ballet, we respect that the uniform requirements may not relate to every individual. As an open and inclusive organization, we welcome conversations with students/parents regarding individual comfort needs.
