Gift it forward
Everyone deserves to experience the magic of dance. Alberta Ballet outreach programs reduce barriers for Albertans, including vulnerable youth, new Canadians and low-income families to enjoy the physical, mental and social benefits of dance. Your gift ensures everyone has a place in our studios and theatres, enriching their lives and our communities.

Welcoming Newcomers
Since 2019, Alberta Ballet’s Welcoming Newcomers program has connected more than 2,000 new Canadians with the magic of dance.
The arts play a key role in supporting immigrants to connect to their new communities, reduce feelings of social isolation, and encourage a sense of belonging. Alberta Ballet provides free performance tickets and recreational dance classes to newcomers in Edmonton, Calgary and other communities across the province thanks to our partnerships with local immigrant serving agencies and funding partners.
Alberta Ballet works directly with local immigrant serving agencies to provide free tickets to its main stage performances to new Canadians.
Thank you to Enbridge Fueling Futures for its generous support of this program.
Ways to Support Us
Welcoming Newcomers
Since 2019, Alberta Ballet has hosted almost 3,000 new Canadians at our live performances at the Jubilee Auditoriums in Calgary and Edmonton. The arts play a key role in supporting immigrants to connect to their new communities, reduce feelings of social isolation, and encourage a sense of belonging.
This year, we're hosting newcomers at La Sylphide (Sept.) and The Nutcracker (Dec.).
Thank you to Enbridge Fueling Futures for its ongoing support of this program. We're also pleased to add Mayfair Diagnostics as a Welcoming Newcomer Program sponsor.
