Serena Sandford

A native of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Serena began her training at the Edmonton School of Ballet. After graduating from Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet Professional Division, Serena went on to dance with Banff Festival Ballet, the National Ballet of Canada, and Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Serena has danced such featured roles as Lilac Fairy in The Sleepy Beauty, Myrtha in Giselle, the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, and Mina Murray in Dracula. Her favourite roles include the title role in A Cinderella Story (Caniparoli), the Dark Angel in Serenade, Stomper in In The Upper Room, the Black Couple in Kylian's Forgotten Land, and one of the lead women in Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. Serena is thrilled to be performing in her home province for her second season with Alberta Ballet.
